Wii Guitar Hero Microphone Compatibility

Guitar Hero 6 (controller compatibility + a few other questions)?

I'm thinking of picking up the Guitar Hero 6 pack (with the new updated guitar controller) on the Wii, even though I don't own ANY of the previous versions of the game. Before I reserve one for myself, there are a few things I wanted to know about:

1) Would the new guitar controller in the GH 6 pack be fully compatible with ALL of the older versions of the game? (I'm thinking of buying these too, although I don't want to have to use lots of different controllers for each of the older games).

2) The same compatibility question as above, but relating to the microphone and drum kit (I'll probably buy these at a later time, I'll start off with just the guitar).

3) Would I also be able to use the GH 6 controller for all of the different versions of Rock Band? Also, the same question applies to the mic and drum kit for this game.

Yes, yes, and yes.

However, take note of something. For number 3, this only counts with versions of Rock Band 2 and up (This includes 3, Lego, Green Day, and Beatles). And that if you happen to buy a rock band instrument, it will not work in Guitar Hero games.
