Wii Ios58 Wad
How can I have my wii read DVDs/copied games?
I have homebrew 1.0.8, I can change my menu verson to anything, however, I am stuck with IOS58 (if there is a way to change it and it is required, please include it WITH the orignal question.) For some reason, I am unable to install WADs. I have tried every opener of wads, and even tried my own. I will award 10 points to the best answer, and not just let this question sit here.
I called nintendo and they said that the wii treats a copied game as a DVD.
You want Homebrew Channel to use IOS 58, so don't change that. The WAD installer, however, will need other customized ones (CIOS). The most common are IOS 36 (alternatively 236), IOS 249 (or CIOSx), and Hermes' IOS 222/223. You can use the tutorial below to install these. Be sure to follow the directions carefully, and you should then be able to install WADs without a problem. Good luck!
