How do you play DVDs on Wii using the Homebrew channel?
I have the Homebrew Channel v. 1.0.8 installed on my Wii, and I'm running firmware 4.3u on the system itself. I bought the Wii right when it came out.
I'm trying to figure out how to unlock the DVD capabilities. I've tried installing IOS38, but it won't install, and from what I can see, DVDX doesn't work on my version of homebrew.
Also, whenever I try to use Mplayer CE (or any media player) it never plays the DVD.
What am I missing?
if you bought it with update 3.2-3.4 you only need to install ios or cious 202 and use wiimc
if you bought it with update 3.5 or more you have no chance of playing dvds
dvdx is no incompatible with homebrew anymore
