Can I transfer saved Wii games from a Wii having error 003?

Does it have that error when you try to play a game, or when you first turn it on?

If it's when you first turn it on, you can only recover saved games you saved to an SD card. If you can still get to your data, on the other hand, you can save most of it to an SD card. There are some games that don't let you, like Mario Kart. In fact, most of the games that don't let you are made by Nintendo!
